Pyle’s black-and-white photographs are on display in the Laura Coombs Hill Gallery through Monday. A reception will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
The platinum-print images feature historic sites in New England, Provence, Burgundy, Venice and other places.
The association is located at 65 Water St. and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Local writer launches her new book
Rowley author Holly Robinson will celebrate the publication of her novel “The Wishing Hill” with a launch party tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Jabberwocky Bookshop.
“The Wishing Hill,” set partly in Byfield, Newburyport and other Merrimack Valley towns, tells the story of Juliet Clark, an artist returning from Mexico to care for her ailing mother, and the shocking discoveries she makes about her family.

Healing market returns to Newburyport
The monthly Newburyport Healing Arts and Crafts Market will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Religious Society in Newburyport.
The community is invited to receive tarot readings, reiki and energy healing and to browse fine crafts, herbal products and crystals for sale. Free lectures and demonstrations will be held throughout the day, and refreshments and a raffle will be available.

Musical duo to play at David’s Tavern
Musicians Dan Kirouac and Sarah Gengel will perform tomorrow at 8 p.m. at David’s Tavern in Newburyport.
Kirouac is a member of Beatles for Sale, a New England-based tribute band, and Gengel is the lead singer, flutist and acoustic guitarist for The Groove Street Band.
