Free home buyer's seminar May 14

Janelli elected trustee at local bank

Ellen Janelli of Amesbury was elected a trustee at the Merrimac Savings Bank at its annual meeting of corporators at Sylvan Street Grille. Janelli is the owner of Conscious Touch Massage and the Wild Women Healing Center in Merrimac and is a licensed massage therapist, polarity practitioner, energy and light worker, as well as a Reiki master teacher. She is also a research paralegal for two firms in Andover. She is the wife of Anthony Janelli, mother of David Fowler and Alexandria Janelli, and the daughter of Helene Fowler and the late Dr. Herbert Fowler.

Seaglass earns "green" recognition

Seaglass oceanfront restaurant at The Pavilion on Salisbury Beach has earned recognition for its ecologically sustainable efforts from the Green Restaurant Association. Seaglass is the only restaurant in Greater Newburyport, and one of approximately 20 full-service restaurants in Massachusetts, to receive this honor for "green" practices in its facility and food preparation.

Established in Boston in 1990, the national Green Restaurant Association has a mission to create an ecologically sustainable restaurant industry through solutions and education. To earn Green Restaurant Certification, establishments must demonstrate "green" practices and then increase those practices on an annual basis. Seaglass earned recognition as a Two-Star Certified Green Restaurant for implementing and sustaining green practices.

Stackpole's new client Rudman Winchell

Stackpole & Partners welcomes Bangor, Maine-based law firm Rudman Winchell to its growing roster of clients. Rudman Winchell, which has been delivering legal services to the Bangor, Greater Maine and Canadian communities since 1917, selected Stackpole after a formal agency review with participation from several nationally recognized advertising and communications firms. The law firm, home to around 33 attorneys and 18 partners, conducted the review after determining it needed to consider a formal brand audit and rejuvenated marketing effort.

Seabrook firm honored for green project

A Seabrook company was recently recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection for its renewable energy upgrades to a water treatment facility in Lee.

The Lee facility was one of 21 water and wastewater plants to earn State Revolving Fund awards for innovative green infrastructure improvements.

Waterline Industries Corporation of Seabrook was awarded the contract for general contractor on the Lee project to assist the town in its green infrastructure improvements. The company worked with its affiliates, Waterline Alternative Energies LLC and Waterline Services LLC to complete the upgrades in December 2010.

At the State Revolving Fund Innovation and Excellence Award ceremony, held by the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority in April, the Lee project was one of 10 to receive the 2010 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Award.
