Anna Jaques Hospital welcomes Elizabeth Mahoney Davis, MD, FACS, FAAOA, otolaryngologist, who has joined Colden & Seymour Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy. Davis joins board-certified specialists Daryl Colden, MD, FACS, and Peter Seymour, MD. She is board-certified and fellowship-trained, specializing in pediatric ear, nose and throat disorders, as well as sinus and allergic diseases.

Most recently, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Boston University and an attending physician at Boston University Medical Center.

Located in the Newburyport Medical Center, Colden & Seymour Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy was founded in 2003 and its physicians and audiologists collectively have more than 30 years of experience. The practice has locations in Newburyport, Haverhill and North Andover.

Davis received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in otolaryngology at Boston Medical Center. She has received numerous honors and awards, including the Boston Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology Jalisi Resident Teaching Award and the Boston Medical Center Outstanding Surgical Critical Care Resident Award.

Haverhill Bank receives first approval for NH branch

Haverhill Bank will join CVS and other stores in a planned 22,000-square-foot retail plaza along Route 97 at the Methuen and Salem, N.H., border.

The Salem Planning Board recently gave conditional approval to the plaza at 389-396 Main St. and 5 Hampstead Road, Salem, N.H. The development on the site of the Green Barn restaurant is part of a plan by Thur Ken II of Salem, N.H. The bank branch, Haverhill Bank’s first in New Hampshire, will have six to eight employees.

Partners honors Excellence Award recipients

Partners HealthCare presented its 17th annual Partners in Excellence Awards to employees of Partners-affiliated institutions during award ceremonies held throughout December and early 2013. Award recipients are nominated by their colleagues and are selected on the basis of contributions “above and beyond the call of duty” in the areas of quality treatment and service, leadership and innovation, teamwork, operational efficiency and outstanding community contributions. The recipients are from Groveland — Massachusetts General Hospital: Stacey Houghton; North Shore Medical Center: Karyn Geary and Partners HealthCare: Leonard DeBenedictis; Rowley — Partners HealthCare: Annmarie Baldisserotto and Bea Thibedeau.

Law firm announces new associate

M. Katie Kerr, Esq., of Boston, MA, has joined the law firm of Healy, Deshaies & Gagliardi, PC, in Amesbury. Kerr is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and obtained her juris doctor at New England School of Law in Boston, MA. She comes to the firm experienced in family law litigation. Her current practice focuses on marital dissolution, pre- and post-marital agreements, paternity, child custody and support, including the removal of children from the state and modifications of alimony. Currently, Kerr is on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers and volunteers her time with the Probate and Family Court Lawyer of the Day Program.

The traditional, New England-style building features wood-frame construction, brick finishes, clapboard siding and decorative fabric awnings. Haverhill Bank plans two drive-up teller lanes and a drive-up ATM lane. The bank branch, Haverhill Bank’s first in N.H., will have six to eight employees.
