Dixon joins DGT group

Ed Dixon, formerly principal land surveyor at Oak Engineers, LLC and, prior to that, owner of Clipper City Survey, Engineering and Mapping Inc., will now provide leadership as regional office manager for the DGT Survey Group North Shore office in Newburyport.

DGT also announces the addition of Taylor Turbide to its North Shore operation. Turbide had spent the greater part of his career in Newburyport with Port Engineering.

DGT also has offices in Providence and Boston.

Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank

The Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank and its charitable foundation recently announced that it has granted $700,000 in donations for 2010 to many area community organizations.

The bank recently announced a record year and said thank-you by providing a dividend to all of its customers holding interest-bearing deposit accounts. By doing so, the bank continued its 156-year legacy of giving back.
