Duff is Mass. Marine Educator of the Year

Mass Audubon education coordinator Liz Duff received the distinguished Massachusetts Marine Educator of the Year Award presented by Massachusetts Marine Educators on April 30 at the organization's annual meeting. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exemplary work in the field of marine science, while educating students, teachers and the community at large and serving as role model for environmental and marine awareness.

Since 1996, through Mass Audubon's Salt Marsh Science Project, Duff has involved elementary through college students in 10 coastal cities and towns ranging from Salisbury to Boston in real-world research that contributes to salt marsh restoration, management plans and activities.
