Rosemary and Michael Leary of Simpsonville, South Carolina, announce the engagement of their son, Brendan James Leary, to Aimee Victoria Kaplan, daughter of Rebecca Kaplan of Mount Dora, Florida.

The future groom, a graduate of Amesbury High School and Clemson University, is currently pursuing his master's in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. He is employed at General Electric in Greenville, South Carolina.

The future bride, a graduate of the University of Miami, will graduate in May from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

A November 2012 wedding is planned at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The couple plans to live in Greenville, South Carolina.
