Meredith L. Wilson and Arthur W. Prescott

Meredith Lynn Wilson and Arthur William Prescott were married on Aug. 23, 2008 at Hope Community Church in Newburyport with Rev. Peter Balentine officiating. The reception was held at the Mission Oak Grill in Newburyport. The bride's father, Lawrence, gave his daughter in marriage.

Meredith is the daughter of Lynn and Lawrence Wilson of Byfield. Arthur is the son of the late Glenn and Winifred Prescott, formerly of Gardiner, Maine.

The maid of honor was Amanda Wilson, (sister of the bride), of Santa Monica, Calif. The bridesmaids were Cara Balkus (friend of the bride) of Newbury, Julie Bernier (friend of the bride) of Rowley, and Dori Prescott (co-worker of the bride, sister-in-law of the groom) of Rowley. The flower girl was Biaca Falcone, the brides cousin, daughter of Nancy of Stoneham.

The best man was Charles Harvey (best friend for over 20 years from Gordon College) of Baskin Ridge, N.J. The ushers were Glenn Prescott (brother) of Rowley, Jamie Prescott (groom's nephew) of Rowley, and Max Beauregard (groom's nephew) of Winthrop, Maine. The ring bearer was Devon Prescott and Josiah Otis (nephews of the groom).

Meredith is a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School. She received her Bachelor's of Social Work from Salem State College and is attending Salem State Grad School for her Masters in Social Work. She works as a Geriatric Social Worker at Senior Care in Gloucester.

Arthur is a graduate of Gardiner High School in Gardiner, Maine. He attended Gordon College. He works as a Machine Operator at Wireway/Huskey Corp. in Sterling.

The couple enjoyed a vacation to Prince Edward Island for their honeymoon.

They reside in Newbury.
