Suspect taunts police on Facebook, then gets arrested

RICHMOND, Ky. — A woman who taunted the police in this central Kentucky town after her "wanted" picture was posted on the department's Facebook page was arrested just a few hours later.

The Richmond, Ky., Police Department posted a picture Tuesday taken from a Walmart surveillance video of a woman shoving a store employee and fleeing with $117 in stolen merchandise.

Police identified the woman was identified as 26-year-old Christina L. Bratcher.

Bratcher then posted comments on the RPD’s Facebook page, taunting and swearing at the police and people who had commented on the photo.

Later Tuesday evening, Bratcher was found and arrested by narcotics detectives.

In addition to the second-degree robbery charge, Bratcher also was charged with two counts of trafficking in a simulated substance, in connection with an undercover investigation earlier this year.

Details for this story were provided by The Richmond, Ky., Register.
