The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at St. Mary’s Church Hall on Main Street. Voters will be choosing the president and vice president, along with making decisions about senators and representatives in Congress and the General Court. Additionally, there will be five ballot questions, including the controversial topics of assisted suicide and the medical use of marijuana in Massachusetts.
Absentee ballots are available for voters who will be out of town during polling hours or have a physical disability or religious belief that would prevent them from going to the polls tomorrow. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon today and those interested must apply in person at the town clerk’s office.

Residents are invited to get the facts about the shingles vaccine at a free lecture at the Rowley Public Library today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dr. Kevin Ennis, a geriatrician from Beverly Hospital, will be the guest speaker.

Riders from the Myopia Hunt Club in Wenham will make their annual ride through Rowley on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Local Scout troops will hold a paper drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Congregational Church. Collectible items include newspapers, books and magazines. The Scouts also will collect redeemable bottles and cans and donations of non-perishable items for the Rowley Food Pantry.

The Rowley Public Education Fund is hosting the annual Teamwork Trivia Night on Saturday at the Newburyport Elks Lodge, 25 Low St., beginning at 7 p.m. Teams of 10 will work together to get the most correct answers to questions (about music, sports, nature, general interest) posed by DJ Mr. Ed for a fun-filled, exciting night. Sponsors, from the $100 to $500 level, are being sought for the event as well.
