Health Beat: Give blood Monday in Newburyport or Georgetown

(Continued)

Free yoga classes on the waterfront

A free community weekly yoga class will be held at Newburyport’s Waterfront Park, behind the Firehouse, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. every Friday through Aug. 24.

Led by Mike Houlihan of Roots to Wings, the classes will have a healing focus and include postures and breathing for strength, flexibility, balance and concentration. Bring a mat or towel.

Donations will be accepted for the Pettengill House in Salisbury.

Classes are also held at Perkins Playground off Water Street on Saturday mornings and on the beach on the Newbury side of Plum Island on Sunday mornings.
