While it is free to view the Batmobile, donations will be accepted on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley. Radio station WNBP will also raffle off opportunities for photos in the Batmobile, with all proceeds going to the club.

‘Heart Sounds’ at Belleville Church

Pianist, singer and songwriter Ross Varney will perform Wednesday at Belleville Congregational Church in Newburyport.

Taking the stage at 7:30 p.m., Varney will present songs of faith, hope and love from his CDs “Heart Sounds” and “Life is a Journey.”

Donations will benefit the church, which is at 300 High St.

Maudslay Arts Center concerts continue

The Maudslay Arts Center Summer Concert Series continues with Rebecca Parris at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Liz Frame and the Kickers at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Parris, “Boston’s First Lady of Jazz,” has performed all over the world with her own groups and with some of jazz’s greatest legends.

Newburyport’s Liz Frame and the Kickers are back in town after embarking on a successful mid-Atlantic tour this summer. The band, which is recording its sophomore album this month, offers original songs with a raw, acoustic sound and sweet harmonies.

The series will wrap up next weekend with New Black Eagle Jazz Band on Aug. 24 and The ’60s Invasion on Aug. 25.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring picnic dinners. Desserts and beverages will be available to purchase during intermission.

Tickets for Saturday concerts are $25 for patio seating, which includes tables and chairs, and $20 for lawn seating (bring your own chairs and blankets). Sunday concerts cost $12 general admission. Children 12 and under are admitted free to all shows.

Maudslay Arts Center is located at 95 Curzon Mill Road, Newburyport. In the case of rain, concerts will move inside to the MAC Concert Barn.
