Easter Seals camp applications available

Applications are now being accepted for Easter Seals Explorers Camp, an overnight camp geared to the needs of youths ages 8 to 22 with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Their siblings also are welcome to attend.

The camp offers traditional activities geared specifically to the campers’ needs, including nature hikes, swimming, arts and crafts, field games and campfires. Activities take place in small groups with a high staff-to-camper ratio.

Explorers Camp is moving this summer to a new location in Rindge, N.H. The camp session will be held Aug. 19-24.

Applications also are being accepted for volunteers age 16 and older who are interested in working at camp.

For more information about camp or for application forms, go to www.EasterSealsMA.org or call Colleen Flanagan, Explorers Camp manager, at 617-226-2635.
