Health Beat: Registration open for triathlon designed for all abilities

Salisbury: Sunday, March 23, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Latitude Sports Club, 191 Elm St.

Rowley: Monday, March 31, 2 to 7 p.m., Rowley Veterans Association, 19 Bradford St.

There is currently an urgent need for blood and platelets, as the ongoing winter storms and freezing temperatures have resulted in thousands of uncollected donations.

Individuals who are 17 years old (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
