A wine tour next month will help raise money for breast cancer research.
Organized by Jennifer Lacroix of Newburyport, the tour will help her meet her fundraising goal for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston.
Departing from Newburyport, the tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, will start at the Moonlight Meadery in Londonderry, N.H., where participants will tour the facility and sample up to eight meads.
Next on the itinerary is a tour and tastings at LaBelle Winery in Amherst, N.H., where lunch will be served. The last stop is Fulchino Vineyard in Hollis, N.H., where at least six wines will be sampled.

Amesbury race caters to moms
Registration is open now for the second annual Mother’s Day 5K Indulgence on Sunday, May 11, in Amesbury.
This year, Green Stride has partnered with the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, which helps victims of domestic violence. All proceeds from the race will go to the Newburyport organization.
Each runner who registers in advance will receive a bottle of Jewell Towne Vineyards wine, a box of chocolates and a women’s T-shirt. Additionally, an indulgence package for two includes a Mother’s Day silver necklace.
The race starts at 8 a.m. at Woodsom Farm, 222 Lions Mouth Road. Registration costs $40 per individual, $65 for two people and $120 for the indulgence package.

Lyme disease patients to speak
A panel on Lyme disease will be held Wednesday from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. at Masonic Hall in Newburyport.
“Not All Stories About Lyme Disease are Tragic” will feature the stories of three Lyme patients who have recovered from debilitating cases of Lyme and co-infections.
