Asperger’s support group to meet
The Asperger’s Syndrome Support Group will meet Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Anna Jaques Hospital.
The group addresses the concerns of parents of school-age children diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, high-functioning autism or related challenges. Meetings are free and open to families from all neighboring communities. The Asperger’s Association of New England sponsors the group.
The meeting will take place in the Higgins Conference Room, 25 Highland Ave., Newburyport.

Yoga to support cancer research
An all-levels yoga class from 6:30 to 7:45 tonight at Pause Yoga in Amesbury will benefit breast cancer research.
Instructor Paula Wilson is walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer next month in memory of her mother. Donations to the walk will be accepted in lieu of payment for the class.

‘Couch to 5K’ training in Port
A free beginner camp will help train runners for the Lt. Derek Hines Flag Day 5K race on June 14.
Starting tomorrow, the nine-week “Couch to 5K” program will meet Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the Fuller Field track on Low Street in Newburyport. It will be led by Nancy McCarthy and Sue Hines.

New studio offers free yoga, music
Free yoga classes and live music are part of a grand opening celebration this weekend at Giving Tree Yoga & Wellness in West Newbury.
Classes will be offered tonight at 7; tomorrow at 9 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday at 10 a.m., noon, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The 7 p.m. classes tonight and tomorrow will be accompanied by live music, and tomorrow’s evening class will also feature cocktails and appetizers.
