Photographs by Kathleen Milstein are on display through April at the Merrimac Public Library.
Milstein hopes to connect viewers to others and the world through her work. She is a member of the Newburyport Art Association.

Crafters wanted for sheep festival
Organizers of the 42nd annual North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival are seeking crafters.
This year’s festival is set for Sunday, May 18, on the Old North Andover Common from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Author to speak at Andrews library
Michael Cormier is the featured guest tonight at the Emma L. Andrews Library’s Author Night.
The author of the suspenseful novel “Sumner Island,” Cormier will also read from his new book, “Convention.” Both books have vivid regional settings and plenty of local color.
Additionally, Cormier will speak about his experiences with both traditional publishing and self-publishing.
The program begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
The library is located at the corner of Purchase and Marlborough streets in Newburyport. Guests are encouraged to stop by beforehand to reserve seats for the presentation.
Blues on tap at the Grog
Parker Wheeler & Friends will present a special evening of music with saxophonist Amadee Castenell for this Sunday’s Blues Party at the Grog in Newburyport.
Castenell will be joined by guitarist Kevin Belz, keyboardist Tom West, percussionist Maureen Medeiros, bassist/vocalist Steve Monahan and drummer Steve Bankuti. They will perform material from Castenell’s CDs “Sax Dreams” and “Amadee,” as well as select cuts from band Chocolate Milk.
Admission is $7, and the show runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at the 13 Middle St. restaurant.
