Dr. Dan Eyink will hold a free lecture for the community on Monday, Oct. 15 to discuss the endocrine system, and specifically hormonal balance for females from their teen years through menopause.
The talk will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dr. Dan’s Natural Healing Center, 171 High St., Newburyport. Hypothyroidism, adrenal imbalance, PMS, and peri-menopause are among the topics to be discussed.

to work with homeless kids
Did you know that 1 in every 50 children in the US will go to sleep without a home this year? Horizons for Homeless Children is looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to play with children living in family homeless shelters. A commitment of just 2 hours a week will make a significant difference in the lives of these children.

Blood drives coming up
The American Red Cross will hold two local blood drives this month.
Drives will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Newbury Town Library from noon to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Latitude Sports Club, 191 Elm St., Salisbury.
