Lookout: A 'fresh' perspective at Chameleon

The Newburyport gallery and retail shop, Chameleon, will celebrate its grand reopening at 22 Liberty St. tomorrow night.

The store has returned to the space where it first opened in 1994. To celebrate its move, a group artist show, “Fresh,” will hang through April 21, the weekend of the Newburyport ArtWalk.

The artists will be on hand tomorrow night from 5 to 9 p.m. to visit with customers during a reopening party.

Music at David’s Tavern

Step into David’s Tavern on Brown Square for some music this weekend.

Tonight, hear traditional and contemporary Irish music performed by Tom Courtney; tomorrow, Michael Taglieri will perform on keyboard and vocals, and on Saturday, the progressive rock cover band Way to the River will take the microphone.

The restaurant is located inside The Garrison Inn, 11 Brown Square, Newburyport.

Fundraiser tonight for Dana-Farber

The Boston-based band, The Naked Stills will offer an evening of rock and Americana tunes tonight at 8 p.m. at The Grog.

The band, which includes Plum Island resident Doug Standley on drums is playing at the Newburyport pub as a fundraiser for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Standley has a family member who is battling a rare form of leukemia.

The group, which began in 2009, released its debut album, Cochecho, last year. Since then, they have performed at venues throughout Boston and New York and took part in the Earthfest concert in Boston.

The Jamie Lynn Hart Band will also perform.

Cooking class tonight in Amesbury

Local chef Carolyn Grieco will run a cooking class tonight at Amesbury’s shared commercial kitchen, Kitchen Local.

From 6 to 8:30 p.m. Grieco will offer tips and techniques for baking homemade breads and hearty stews in a hands-on class. There is a $60 fee. To register, visit or phone 978-994-1692.
