Photographer speaks at Actors Studio

The “Art Changes Everything” photographer series continues at The Actors Studio on Sunday at 3 p.m. with Maine photographer Joanne Arnold.

Arnold will share her tips on capturing moments in nature. Each morning, she prays at dawn and photographs the moment, which has been her subject matter in recent years.

The speaker series is held on the fourth Sunday of each month. It concludes in April. Admission is $14 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. To make a reservation, call 978-465-1229 or go online to www.newburyportacting.org.

The Actors Studio is located in the Tannery Marketplace on Water Street.

Artist reception at Provident Bank

West Newbury photographer Marc Page is this month’s featured artist at The Provident Bank branch in Newburyport. His show, “Athens and The Jewels of the Aegean,” will be on display at the Storey Avenue branch through April 19.

His exhibit includes images of his trips to Athens, Mykonos, Crete, Patmos, Rhodes and Santorini, Greece, and Kuşadasi, Turkey.

Page will visit with the public during an opening reception of the show next Thursday, March 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Open Barn at High Tail Acres

High Tail Acres, 2 High Tail Lane, Newbury, will host an Open Barn on Saturday, March 30.

From noon to 3 p.m., the public can join in a range of activities, including free rides, lesson and show horse demonstrations, and a kids Easter egg hunt.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to our barn and to show local families what we are all about,” said Dawn DelTorchio in a statement. ”We are excited to share information about the programs we offer and to promote the Saddlebred breed.”
