Yoga on the beach warming up on Plum Island
For the seventh summer, Angelena Craig will be leading kripalu yoga classes on the beach on Plum Island at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. The classes will meet Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 a.m., weather permitting, starting next week through the month of August.
The one-hour gentle yoga classes are designed to open the body and relax the mind, all in a unique environment. They are open to experienced students, beginners as well as the curious. Participants are invited to drop in once or attend all nine sessions.
Admission is free; however, donations are appreciated, and admission to the refuge is required. Bring a large towel or mat. Participants should enter the gate at the refuge and park in the first parking lot and take the boardwalk to the beach. Turn left and look for the large wooden sign, where the group will be located.
