Lookout: New England String Quartet plays Sunday

(Continued)

“Winter provides the backdrop as the two characters try to understand what it means to live with each other in and out of love. In some ways, the play ends in the same place it starts; in other ways it doesn’t,” according to Faigen.

In addition to earning the top honor at the New Works Festival, the play received a full reading at the 2012 Boston Theatre Marathon and was a semifinalist at the O’Neill Playwright’s Festival in Connecticut last year.

The director of the Portsmouth production, Kate Braun, was a judge of the New Works Festival competition. She is collaborating with consulting director Leslie Pasternack.

The two-act drama will be performed from Feb. 15 through March 3. Tickets are available for 8 p.m. performances on Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. by contacting the theater at 603-436-8123 or online at www.playersring.org.
