Stretch classes begin Tuesday

Certified fitness trainer Cyd Raschke will offer “Stretch for Release and Energy” classes on Tuesday evenings, beginning March 12.

Raschke has designed the sessions to expand range of motion, relieve stress, improve circulation and release congestion in tissues. Athletes can reduce risk of injury by lengthening major muscle groups, computer jockeys benefit by unwinding joints constricted in sitting, and couch potatoes will find the class compatible with their lifestyle.

The series is free of charge as part of the adult education program at First Religious Society. The sessions will run from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. each week, through April 30. The class will meet in the Lower Meetinghouse, 26 Pleasant St., Newburyport. To register, contact Cyd Raschke at 978-462-2733 or by e-mail at cydira@beachbodycoach.com.
