Chemical Companies honored for educational outreach initiatives
Strem Chemicals, Inc. of Newburyport is being honored by chemical industry colleagues at a New York City award ceremony for its outstanding efforts in promoting science awareness within the local community.
The Chemical Educational Foundation and the Society of Chemical Manufactures & Affiliates is awarding Strem Chemicals with their co-created Educational Outreach Award, The award, given each year, is a part of SOCMA’s ChemStewards Performance Improvement Awards and honors SOCMA member companies that have dedicated themselves to enhancing science education opportunities in the community.
Strem Chemicals is also being recognized for exemplary efforts in improving its environmental, health, safety and security by the SOCMA and will accept a Gold Performance Improvement Award. Strem Chemicals was recognized for its successful efforts in exceeding standards set forth in the ChemStewards Program.
