The Lookout: Grog heats up annual chili fundraiser


The exhibit features a number of Scourletis’ favorite images. A former commercial photographer, he has concentrated on scenic and fine art photography for the past 10 years.

An artist’s reception will be held tonight from 5:30 to 7 at the bank, 66 Storey Ave. Light refreshments will be served.

Book sale in need of volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help with a book sale being hosted by The Friends of the Amesbury Public Library.

The sale is slated for Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. downstairs at the library, 149 Main St. Patrons will be able to purchase a reusable shopping bag for $10 and fill it with books, music, movies, puzzles and more.

All proceeds benefit the Friends, whose mission is to support the library and its staff and enhance resources and services.

Comedy comes to The Barn tomorrow

Three comedians will take the stage at The Barn in Amesbury tomorrow night at 8:30.

Robbie Printz is a past winner of the Boston Comedy Festival who has appeared around the U.S. and on Comedy Central, NBC and MTV. Kyle Crawford has appeared at top clubs in the country and was the first runner-up in the MCAM Television “Last Comic Standing” competition. Joe Espi is a regular in New England clubs.

Tickets are $15 and are available at the door, 5 Ring St.

‘Shrek’ comes to Pentucket

Pentucket Regional High School is presenting “Shrek the Musical” from Nov. 7 through 10. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m.

Advance ticket sales will be held at the school on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m.

General admission is $10, and reserved seating is $15.
