Lookout: Quartet For-Te celebrates spring

Healing Arts and Crafts Market

This month’s session of the Newburyport Healing Arts and Crafts Market is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Religious Society, 26 Pleasant St., Newburyport. Open to the public, the market is free to attend.

Visitors can receive a foot massage, get a tarot reading and browse a collection of healing crystals, handmade jewelry and other products.

Bartlett Museum dinner this month

The Bartlett Museum will host their annual dinner on Thursday, April 25, at Union Congregational Church, 350 Main St., Amesbury.

The evening will include a short business meeting to elect new officers and board members. A social time will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Reserve a seat by April 18.

Tickets are $15. Call Carol at 978-388-6591 or Tony at 978-462-6110 to reserve a seat. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support Union Congregational Church. A 50/50 raffle will be held, with profits being used for the maintenance and upkeep of the museum.

Historical Society ‘Bury Treasures’ auction to be held

The Historical Society of Old Newbury is holding their popular “’Bury Treasures” auction on April 26 and April 27 at the Masonic Center in Newburyport.

“The range of items is astounding,” museum curator Jay Williamson said in a statement. “From antique prints and broadsides including a (rare) portrait of ‘Lord’ Timothy Dexter and Dexter’s last will and testament, to paintings by Margaret S. Pearson, George Hathaway featuring Plum Island and Newburyport views. There is truly something for every budget.”

Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple to Friday’s Gala Auction Party. Call 978-462-2681 to reserve a spot (space is limited).
