Final session of art salon April 28

The Actors Studio of Newburyport will hold the final session of its “Art Changes Everything” salon series, featuring local photographers, on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m.

Respected artist and photographer Jeremy Barnard of Georgetown will present three collections of photographs that represent different stages of his 45-year photography career.

Barnard refers to his early work as “street photography,” while the photographs from his mid-career reflect his passion for abandoned places. In his latest work, Barnard has moved to infrared photography.

The Actors Studio is located at 50 Water St., Mill 1, Suite 5, Newburyport. Admission is $14 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. To reserve a seat, call 978-465-1229 or visit online, www.newburyportacting.org.

Wine tasting at Georgetown Library

The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library are hosting a wine tasting on Saturday, April 27.

The benefit at the library from 6:30 to 9 p.m. will feature 40 different wine varieties as attendees listen to jazz drummer Keith Augeri and his band. The final half hour of the evening will include coffee and dessert.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the library or at Georgetown Liquors. Proceeds will be used to fund programs at the library. The evening is sponsored by Georgetown Liquors.

Crafters wanted

Organizers of the 41st annual North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival are seeking crafters. This year’s festival is set for May 19 on the Old North Andover Common from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call Joan at 978-685-5320 or Jeff at 978-682-5212.
