Hagen, an award-winning songwriter, recently released her third CD, “Mud and Stone,” featuring heartfelt ballads, up-tempo country swing and bluesy grooves.
Bossa Buena plays the romantic bossa nova music of Brazil and the seductive rhythms of samba. The band includes classical guitarist John Tavano, flutist/saxophone player Albert Lamar and bassist Chuck Walker.
Both shows are from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Newburyport restaurant.

Wednesday’s “Jazz at Ten Center” presents Ryan Parker on piano, Marty Ballou on bass and Phil McGowan on drums.

Watercolor show continues at library
An exhibit by local watercolorists will hang at the Newbury Town Library through Saturday. The featured paintings include landscapes, seascapes and still lifes.
Prints on display at Firehouse
Color woodblock prints by Linda Mahoney are on display through Sunday in the first-floor gallery at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Market Square, Newburyport. Her pieces include pine trees, shorelines and mountains.
A painter for more than 30 years, Mahoney is an art teacher at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield. She lives in Northfield.

Art featured at Newburyport cafe
Opportunity Works’ art program, OpArt, has an exhibit currently on display at the Carry Out Cafe.
An opening reception will be held tomorrow from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the cafe, 155 State St., Newburyport. The show runs through June 30.
