The foundation is in its third year of raising money for music programs in Newburyport schools. This year, the goal is to help the Newburyport High band program and fund two scholarships.

The show will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 35 Low St., Newburyport. Tickets are $25 in advance at Denise’s Flower Shop, 35 Pleasant St., Newburyport, or $30 at the door.

An evening of song at Newburyport church

The Newburyport Choral Society will host a Summer Sing of Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

All are welcome to come and sing, or to simply listen. Admission is free. The church is located at 7 Harris St., Newburyport.

Buffett tribute, tailgating party in Salisbury

The fourth annual Buffett Beach Blast! is set for tomorrow at Blue Ocean Music Hall on Salisbury Beach.

The celebration starts with a Parade of Cars at 3:30 p.m., followed by a tailgating party from 4 to 8 p.m. and a concert featuring Jimmy Buffett tribute band Changes in Latitude at 8.

Special prizes will be awarded for the best theme cars, and there will be silent and live auctions throughout the evening. All proceeds benefit the Salisbury Beach Partnership, a nonprofit organization.

Tickets are $25 for the concert and $15 per car for the tailgating party. No RVs, buses or oversized vehicles are allowed.

Legos and more coming to Georgetown library

An assortment of Legos and model trains will be on display at the Georgetown Peabody Library on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can see a Lego city with Lego trains created by Patrick Connolly, along with G-gauge trains and other models.

The show is part of a Summer Wrap-Up Adventure for the library’s Tuesday Morning Fun program. There will also be a scavenger hunt and vehicles from town departments, including firetrucks and police cruisers.
