Health Beat: Yard sale to benefit American Diabetes Association

A local team of athletes is holding its second annual Tour de Cure yard sale tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 20 Oakland St., Newburyport.

The members of Seacoast Synergy are riding in the American Diabetes Association’s North Shore Tour de Cure on Sunday, May 18, in Topsfield.

Last year’s yard sale raised more than $7,000 for the American Diabetes Association’s efforts to stop diabetes. In addition to the sale, there will also be raffles, silent auctions, and complimentary coffee and baked goods.

The North Shore Tour de Cure includes 15-, 31-, 62- and 100-mile routes. To register or for more information, visit or call 617-482-4580, ext. 3487.

Seacoast Synergy, based in Newburyport, trains and participates in events ranging from charity rides to Half Ironman triathlons. For more information on the group, call team captain Deb Mandile at 617-435-9128.
