Regional food pantries

The following is a list of food pantries in the Greater Newburyport area.

Donations are always needed of nonperishable food items, particularly peanut butter, jelly, cereal, canned chicken or tuna, mayonnaise, ketchup, pasta sauce, canned stews and hearty soups, as well as healthy snacks such as granola bars, raisins, dried fruit and graham crackers.

Also useful are household cleaning products, toiletries and hygiene items, including shampoo, razors, soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine products and diapers of all sizes.

Donations by cash or check are always welcome.

Our Neighbors’ Table

Serves Amesbury, Boxford, Byfield, Georgetown, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury, South Hampton and West Newbury

145 Main St., Amesbury

Office hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday night meals: 4 to 6 p.m.

Food pantry: For residents of Amesbury and South Hampton, every Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Open on the second and last Friday and Saturday of every month to residents of Merrimac, Newburyport, Newbury, West Newbury, Groveland, Salisbury, Rowley, Byfield, Boxford and Georgetown.

Merrimac mobile food pantry (Merrimac residents only): Every first and third Saturday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Merrimac Senior Center, 100 E. Main St.
