Health Beat: Six-week bereavement group starts Tuesday

(Continued)

Admission is $25, and the show will be followed by a reception with Lord and Tee.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, the group will wrap up the month with the Jackie Poor Memorial Walk at 10:30 a.m. at Michael’s Harborside. The walk honors Poor, the late sister of one of the organizers, and other women struggling with ovarian cancer.

Individuals or teams may participate in the 3-mile walk through downtown Newburyport. Registration costs $20 online at www.ovationsforthecure.org or $25 on the day of the event.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths in women, with more than 21,000 diagnosed in the U.S. each year.
