The Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse is hosted by the Byfield Community Arts Center, 7 Central St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and admission is $5. The Cat Cafe will offer beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.

Show and sale at pottery studio

Barberry Hill Pottery in West Newbury is hosting a Fall Studio Show and Sale over three weekends.

Owner Barbara Haack will display her ceramics in the exhibit, which will also include paintings by Eva Lee and sculpture by Peter Spellman.

The show will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 22-24, Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 13-15. A reception will be held this Sunday from 1 to 4.

Post-Thanksgiving dance celebration

A Thanksgiving Sacred Circle Dance is planned for next Friday, Nov. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Chailey Manor in Newburyport.

No experience is required to learn the simple, traditional and newly crafted village dances from around the world.

The manor is located at 9 Spring Lane. Dancing will take place on the wooden floor of the grand ballroom.

Shopping event to help choral society

The Newburyport Choral Society will host a fundraiser tomorrow at Greetings by Design in Newburyport.

From 5 to 8 p.m., guests can enjoy wine and cheese while shopping for items such as holiday cards, stationery, invitations and jewelry. Twenty percent of all sales will benefit the society.
