West Newbury: NEER North Holiday Craft Fair, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Town Hall annex, 381 Main St. Gifts for the home, farm and stable made by local artists and crafters. Proceeds benefit New England Equine Rescue.

Thursday, Dec. 5

Newburyport: Holiday Happenings Arts & Crafts Fair, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Higgins Conference Room and AJH Cafe, Anna Jaques Hospital, 25 Highland Ave. Handcrafted items by Anna Jaques employees and volunteers. Additionally, the hospital atrium will feature hospital and independent bakers showcasing their entries in the Annual Cupcake Challenge. Prizes will be awarded for the best tasting and most creative, with judging starting at 2 p.m. The cupcakes will also be available for sale, along with fruitcake and fudge. Proceeds from the fair benefit the AJH Aid Association, which supports patient services.

Friday, Dec. 6

Newburyport: Artisans in the Open Holiday Show, 3 to 9 p.m., First Religious Society, 26 Pleasant St. Jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, photography, glasswork, paintings, woodwork, stone sculpture, soaps and lotions and painted furniture.

Saturday, Dec. 7

Byfield: Craft Fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Byfield Community Arts Center, 7 Central St. Featuring local and regional crafters. 978-457-0208.

Newbury: Holiday Fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., PITA Hall, 8 Plum Island Blvd. Decorated wreaths, baked goods, crafts, art, handmade gifts, stocking stuffers and holiday decorations. Premium trees available for sale, with free delivery on Plum Island. Raffle prizes and refreshments. All proceeds help maintain the hall and support other efforts by Plum Island Taxpayers & Associates. Vendor information at 978-462-8808.

NEWBURYPORT: Cookie Walk & Craft Fair, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., United Methodist Church, 64 Purchase St. Ceramics, photography, American Girl doll clothes, costume jewelry, blown glass ornaments, stained glass, coasters, place mats and quilted gift bags. Held by the Emma Andrews Library & Community Center, with proceeds to benefit the library scholarship fund. To donate baked goods, contact the library at 978-358-8097 or bring them to the church on Friday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. or Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 a.m.
