Holiday programs at Lowell’s Boat Shop
Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury will celebrate the season with its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday and Sunday.
The festivities will begin with an art show preview party tomorrow, during which Lowell’s Boat Shop members and their friends can get an early glimpse of this year’s art show and sale, “Wood and Water: a Mixed Media Exhibit.” The display includes works from numerous local artists, including members of OpArt, an art education outreach program for clients at Opportunity Works, and offered by the Newburyport Art Association.
The Holiday Open House runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Open to the general public, the celebration includes the art exhibit and sale, as well as a collection of unique Lowell’s Boat Shop gifts, handmade holiday wreaths and fresh trees, a variety of raffles and a silent auction. Refreshments will be served, and music will be performed by the Thomas Machine Works Band on Saturday and Morning Glories on Sunday.
Children can make their own ornaments and visit with Santa from noon to 2 p.m. each day.
