Art Association show and sale

The Newburyport Art Association is hosting its annual Holiday Art Show and Sale this month.

The art gallery on Water Street in Newburyport will be open during the city’s Invitation Nights tomorrow and next Friday, for shoppers seeking a unique gift made by local artists and crafters.

The Art Association will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Dec. 14, as well as on Dec. 21 for Men’s Shopping Night.

Refreshments and gift-wrapping will be offered as well.

Children’s yoga session in Amesbury

People’s Yoga Co-op is offering a special class for kids on Saturday that incorporates yoga, movement and art,

During the three-hour session from 6 to 9 p.m., children will complete holiday arts and crafts while taking part in movement, yoga and zumba lessons. The program is meant for children ages 5 to 11. There is a $35 fee.

Men’s chorus sings at library

The Merrimack Valley Townsmen, an all men’s barbershop chorus, will perform at the Newburyport Public Library on Monday.

The group, which is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will offer a mix of holiday tunes beginning at 7 p.m. in the program room. The audience will be able to sing along as the chorus performs some seasonal favorites.

Colburn is featured artist at refuge

The Parker River Wildlife Refuge is exhibiting works from Newburyport artist Richard Colburn this month.

Colburn’s show in the refuge’s auditorium is free to attend. He has hung a collection of wooden sculptures depicting marine wildlife. The refuge headquarters is located at 6 Plum Island Turnpike in Newburyport.

Holiday Sing-along at Firehouse

Warm those vocal cords up — the popular Holiday Sing-along is returning to the Firehouse on Dec. 15.
