(Continued)

When a department store’s Santa Claus is replaced by online shopping, can a little girl’s viral video help preserve what matters most during the holiday season?

Show times are 7 p.m. tonight, tomorrow and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Newbury Elementary School, 63 Hanover St. Tickets are $10, $15 and $25, and reservations are recommended. Contact TWSboxoffice@gmail.com.

Live shows at Custom House

Tomorrow’s Invitation Night in Newburyport will feature dramatic presentations at the Custom House Maritime Museum.

“Voices of Christmas Past,” taken from actual ship logs, is a heartfelt tableau of Christmas Day life and emotions aboard Newburyport ships at sea. The 10-minute show will be presented at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free. The museum is located at 25 Water St.

Invitation Night runs from 6 to 9 p.m. throughout downtown Newburyport and The Tannery Marketplace and includes live entertainment and a number of shops offering holiday drinks and treats.

Auction underway at art association

The Newburyport Art Association is hosting a special Holiday Live Auction of a large pastel work donated by member Karen Jones.
