Low-vision support offered in Amesbury

A support group for those with recent or ongoing vision loss meets on the first Thursday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Amesbury Senior Center.

Whether low vision is a result of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma or another condition, group members will learn about the tools available and have the opportunity to share their experiences with others facing similar challenges.

Guest speakers have come from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, Perkins School for the Blind and Simply Foot Care. The group also takes biannual outings.

To sign up, call 978-388-8138.
