Lookout: One act, short plays conclude New Works


The Human Dog Sled Race features teams of five or less, with one driver and human “sled dogs” who race across the frozen Frog Pond.

Ham and bean supper Feb. 2

The Bethany Masonic Lodge will host their next ham and bean supper on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The menu includes ham, hotdogs, potato salad, cole slaw, garden salad, brown bread, rolls, 3 kinds of beans, drinks and desserts. Admission is $8. It is free for children to attend.

Snowshoeing program Feb. 3

New England Equine Rescue-North will hold their third annual snowshoe event on Feb. 3 from noon to 3 p.m. at their facility, 183 River Road, West Newbury.

The public can hike trails and visit with the horses that have been rescued during the festivities, which also includes refreshments and door prizes.

Admission is $15 and will benefit the horses in need.
