If you or your child have difficulties with reading, decoding, phonemic awareness, writing, spelling, math or attention deficits, dyslexia could be the cause.
New England Dyslexia Solutions is holding a free informational seminar on Wednesday, Feb. 27 that will offer in-depth understanding of what dyslexia is, signs to look for and solutions that help. The seminar will begin at 10 a.m. in Amesbury at Boston North Technology Park on Haverhill Road, building A, conference room, 110.

Free chronic pain workshop
The YWCA Greater Newburyport and Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley will co-host a chronic pain workshop on Tuesdays, beginning March 12. The free workshop will run through April 16.
The sessions will be held at the YWCA’s 13 Market St. facility from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
The workshop is suitable for individuals who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, post-stroke pain, multiple sclerosis, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic neck, shoulder or back pain or any other types of ongoing pain.
Participants will learn how to control pain and deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep. The program will offer tips on eating well, starting an exercise program and increasing one’s energy level.
