Our Neighbors’ Table, P.O. Box 592, Amesbury, MA 01913; 978-388-4863 or 978-835-3016. Our Neighbors’ Table serves a free community meal every Wednesday, 4 to 6 p.m., and hosts a food pantry every Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to noon. Parental Stress Hotline, firstname.lastname@example.org, 800-632-8188 (a Massachusetts-only number), 24-hour hotline to defuse parental stress. This hotline requires a one-year commitment to take telephone shifts on a statewide toll-free hotline. Overnight shifts taken in the volunteer’s home via a call-forwarding system. Ten hours of training and mentoring takes place in Watertown.
Parents Helping Parents, email@example.com. Child care volunteers are needed to care for the children of parents attending a free and confidential parent support group Monday evenings, 7-9 p.m. Help parents in our community become connected and supported.

Pettengill House, P.O. Box 5551, 13 Lafayette Road, Salisbury, 978-463-8801. The Pettengill House is a nonprofit community social service organization serving the greater Newburyport area. A variety of volunteer opportunities exist, including help with office work, food pantry, special events and fundraisers, and special programs. ROOF Over Head Collaborative works to support homeless and at-risk families in our community as they transition to permanent housing and independent living through community collaboration, education and advocacy. Volunteer opportunities include readying homes for families, serving on the Board of Directors, becoming a member of a committee and helping with events.
