Health Beat: Treat the troops to Halloween sweets

Have too much leftover Halloween candy? Through Nov. 15, Newburyport Dental Associates is accepting donations to send to deployed soldiers.

In addition to candy, children are also encouraged to create cards, letters or pictures to send to the troops for the fourth annual Operation Candy Donation. Those who donate will receive a gift card for Anchor Stone Deck Pizza or Chococoa Baking Co.

The dentists will also send along floss, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The office is located at 371/2 Forrester St. For more information, call 978-462-9611 or visit www.newburyportdental.com.
