Union Church installs new pastor

AMESBURY — William Main was installed as interim minister for Union Congregational Church at a Service of Licensing and Installation on Sunday, Nov. 6.

A graduate of Andover-Newton Theological School with a master's of divinity, Main has served as a regular supply minister to more than a dozen churches in the Essex, Andover and Metropolitan UCC Associations. After a year of pastoral counseling intern training at Beverly Hospital, he has become a pastoral care specialist member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. His background includes interim ministry training at Andover-Newton. He comes to the ministry from a previous career as a mechanical and systems engineer.

Union Congregational Church is located at 350 Main St., Amesbury, on Point Shore across from Alliance Park and the Merrimack River. You can reach the church at 978-388-0631 or Sunday services at 10 a.m. Christmas Eve Service Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. Handicapped accessible. All are welcome.
