Brown, a Wrentham native, competed on “American Idol” in 2006 and made it to the semifinals.

“She seems really nice and she puts on a nice show,” said Jason LaCroix, president of the Homecoming board of directors.

The show will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Foodies finding good eats

As popular as the craft tents are this week, some visitors to Market Square come for the food.

Jeff Krumrine, a local solutions engineer in the IT field, said during Tuesday’s craft show that food was his motive to be outdoors at noon.

“I had a great meal at the Greek church,” said Krumrine, whose office is in the downtown. “And I had a great lobster-and-scallop roll on the Square. At Yankee Homecoming, you see different offerings and I’ve had several great meals so far.”
