This Day in History

On this day in 1829, Dudley Atkins passed away. Interestingly, he legally changed his last name to Tyng at the request of his mother’s cousin, Sarah Tyng Winslow. The name change came with a large inheritance that included the town that today is know as Tyngsborough.
