DISTRICT COURT

NEWBURYPORT: The following case was recorded at Newburyport District Court on Tuesday, July 30, with Judge Allen Swan presiding over the jury-waived trial:

Daniel J. Hoover, 48, 40 Williams St., Waltham; driving while under the influence of alcohol, continued without finding and probation for one year conditioned upon completion of an alcohol safety awareness program, 45-day loss of license, $50 Victim-Witness Fund, $250 Operating Under Intoxication, $50 Operating Under Intoxication Victim Fund, $250 Head Injury Fund; state highway violation, responsible, filed (Salisbury).

Judge Peter Doyle presiding over the following jury-waived trials:

Thang Lam, 36, 32 Century St., Medford; driving after license suspension, pretrial probation for six months, $50 VWF (State Police).

David M. Dow, 32, 51A Whorthly Ave., Seabrook; driving after license suspension, dismissed with court costs of $250 and $50 VWF (Amesbury).

Adam K. Boucher, 38, 19 Mudnock Road, Salisbury; negligent driving, continued without finding and probation for six months conditioned upon completing the State Courts Against Road Rage program, $50 VWF, $250 HIF; vehicle not meeting safety standards, not responsible (Salisbury).

Blake R. Smith, 22, 10 Summer St., Amesbury; larceny from a person, pretrial probation for one year; assault and battery, pretrial probation for one year and the payment of $100 in restitution to the victim (Amesbury).

Nicole T. Chiaramonte, 34, 141 Beach Road, No. 9, Salisbury; shoplifting (third offense), guilty, one year in the house of correction suspended with two years probation conditioned upon completion of a six-month residential program, remaining drug and alcohol free and staying away from the victim, $50 VWF (Newburyport).

Samantha L. Weeden, 24, 30 Field St., Amesbury; assault and battery on a police officer, pretrial probation for one year conditioned upon compliance with the rules and regulations of the group home, continuation of counseling and compliance with prescribed medication; assault, pretrial probation one year with the same conditions as the previous sentence (Amesbury).
