This Day in History

On this day in 1922: Freeman Currier witnessed a flock of birds going north that he estimated to be nearly 4000 in number. But this was insignificant compared to what he later saw in the fall, when there was a steady stream of grackles — which he witnessed for 40 minutes straight.
