Bingo Night for NHS class of 2013

A Bingo Night will be held Saturday, April 6, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Nicholson Hall, 9 Harrison St., to benefit the Newburyport High School Senior Class Safe Night Celebration. Tickets are on sale now at Amesbury Skate & Sport Shop, 77 Macy St, Amesbury. The $20 donation includes 16 Bingo game cards. Wine, beer, and hors d’oeurves will be served, and prizes from local restaurants and stores will be awarded.

Donate children’s clothing, baby gear

Community Giving Tree’s blue minivan will be collecting gently used children’s clothing and baby goods at Cushing Playground on Kent Street on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Future dates include April 20 and May 18.

The public is encouraged to bring clean, high-quality used clothing, crib bedding, bouncy seats, safety gates, baby monitors and anything else needed to raise a child. Toys are not being collected at this time.

Community Giving Tree partners with social service agencies throughout Essex County to distribute donations to local children in need. For more information about Community Giving Tree, a complete list of items being collected and local collection dates, visit www.communitygivingtree.org.
