Town clerk is only contested race in Merrimac

---- — MERRIMAC — There is only one race on the ballot in Merrimac’s May 6 annual town election. Town Clerk Patricia True is being challenged by Ellen Miracle. Other positions have candidates, with the exception of a five-year term on the Planning Board and one constable position.

Here’s how the ballot will look when voters go to the polls:

Moderator for one year, vote for one

Robert J. Bender, 55 School St., candidate for re-election

Selectman for three years, vote for one

Harold E. Lloyd, 12 Nichols St.

Town Clerk for three years, vote for one

Patricia E. True, 2 Abbott St., candidate for re-election

Ellen M. Miracle, 37 Harriman Road

Assessor for three years, vote for one

Louise T. Lingerman, 11 Woodland St., candidate for re-election

Planning Board, for five years, vote for one

No candidate

School Committee, for three years, vote for one
