The following items were recorded in the Newburyport police log:

Michael A. Jones, 42, 29 Hillcrest Ave., Beverly, was arrested Sunday at 12:33 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (third offense), fail to stop for police and a wrong way/one way violation. Sgt. Stephen Chaisson and officers Dani Michalek and Gregory Whitney made the arrest on Summer Street.

James Glidden, 63, 10 Boxford Road, Rowley, was arrested Sunday at 7:38 p.m. and charged with assault and battery on ambulance personnel, assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct. Officers Charles Ferlauto, Christopher McDonald, Shawn Eaton and Sgt. William Steeves made the arrest at Anna Jaques Hospital, Highland Avenue.

AMESBURY

The following items were recorded in the Amesbury police log:

Andrael A. Ball, 30, 6 Coombs Circle, Newburyport, was arrested Saturday at 12:55 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (second offense), marked lanes, failure to inspect and speeding. Officer Craig Lesage made the arrest on Macy Street.

Lawrence E. Dodge, 58, 15 Cedar St., No. 29, Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 7:50 a.m. and charged with a previous warrant. Officer Jonathan Morrill and Detective David Pare made the arrest on Cedar Street.

Matthew D. Hood, 24, 2 Lake Shore Drive, Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 5:33 p.m. and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Officers Lesage, Jason Kooken, Raymond Landry and Steven Reed made the arrest on Lake Shore Drive.

Sheila Mullaly, 42, 922 Greenland Road, Portsmouth, N.H., was arrested Saturday at 5:33 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and operating to endanger. Officers Charles Sciacca and Ronald Guilmette made the arrest on Main Street.

Richard G. Thomas, 56, 164 Whitehall Road, B4A27, Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 10:56 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officers Reed and Lesage made the arrest on Whitehall Road.
