Do you know this woman?

Police try to identify woman linked to $1,004 ATM theft

She then called her bank and was told a $502 withdrawal was made at a Sovereign Bank in Methuen and $502 was withdrawn from Bank of America in Haverhill.

The woman subsequently cancelled her debit card, the report said. Gioia wrote in his report that his inspection of the woman’s car did not show any signs of forced entry. The report did not say whether the woman had locked her car or not.

Police Detective Capt. Alan Ratte said he does not know how the suspect obtained the PIN of the victim’s debit card to make the withdrawals.

“Once we know who she is, then we’ll know how she got the PIN,” Ratte said.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Detective Carl Rogers at 978-373-1212, ext. 1557.

You can also leave a message on the police anonymous tip line by dialing 978-373-1212 and following the prompts.
